Spring is on its way!

News

Have you noticed that popping out of the soil are little signs that Spring is on its way?

Spring flowersWe have had a harder winter this year, than we have had in a long time and the cold weather, sharp biting winds and central heating can take their toll on our complexions. Dry skin and pinched faces can emphasise signs of ageing, and just as nature rejuvenates each year, it’s time to consider how you will put winter behind you and don your bright, radiant Spring you!

What do you see when you look in the mirror this time of year?
Do you see a face that has radiant skin, or one that has clearly seen a British winter?

This time of year, people visiting the clinic start to tell us of their plans for Summer, their wish to look the best they can. Regular readers of our posts will have heard that our patients tell us that don’t want to look 10 years younger, they want to age well and to feel that they are making the very best of what nature has given them – and that is where we come in.

Our most popular treatments continue to be Botox, to hold back the speed with which wrinkles appear, dermal fillers, to replace lost volume and Dermapen treatment to stimulate collagen regrowth to keep the skins natural elasticity.

How does Botox® work?

Botox® is a safe non-surgical treatment which softens facial lines and wrinkles to create a more youthful appearance. It works by temporarily blocking communication between the nerve and muscle and results in softening of facial lines.

How do dermal fillers work?

Dermal fillers are clear gels that contain clinically refined non-animal hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in our body which helps hydrate and add volume to our skin. It decreases with age and so we sometimes have to give mother nature a helping hand!

How does Dermapen work?

Dermapen micro-needling provides unparalleled collagen induction therapy. These micro-injuries to the skin encourage and harness the power of the body’s innate ability to regrow and repair the skin through the physiology of collagen induction (click here to see the video – it really does explain it well!).
