COVID-19 POLICY

Firstly, I hope this finds you and your families well, after what has been and still is a very worrying time for us all.

As a result of the on going COVID-19 Pandemic there will need to be a number of changes as to how I work to protect you my patients, and others in the clinic.  I’m sure you’ll understand and I thank you in advance for your co-operation. This guidance will change from time to time as we learn more about controlling this virus.

These protocols have been put together in accordance with the safest practice from the government and medical profession.

Some points will be self-explanatory however some are more detailed.

TREATMENTS

All treatments (including lip augmentation) are available on reopening.

CLINIC

The clinic will be cleaned to the highest standards on a daily basis. Between each appointment I will be cleaning surfaces. This means that appointments will be staggered, longer and there will be fewer available.

The toilet will be unavailable.

MY PERSONAL MONITORING

I will be wearing the appropriate level of Protective Personal Equipment ( PPE). I will check my temperature daily and advise you immediately if I have a temperature and postpone your appointment. I will be using the COVID tracker app once available.

PRE-APPOINTMENT

Patients who have been contacted by the government to say that they are high risk and should be shielding OR self-isolating will not be seen.

WE WILL CHECK THIS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.

Patients or anyone in the household who have COVID symptoms (COUGH, TEMPERATURE OR LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL) will not be seen.

WE WILL TEXT YOU THE DAY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT AND ASK YOU TO CONFIRM YOU HAVE NO SYMPTOMS.

APPOINTMENT/ENTRY TO CLINIC

The day of the appointment I would like you to wait in your car or outside until I send a text to invite you in. The front door will be locked to ensure that we have only one patient in at a time. Sorry, no pairs or group appointments at this time. The only exception to this are members of the same family bubble.

Please bring the bear minimum so NO HANDBAGS if at all possible.

Please remove your make up prior to the appointment.

On arrival I will meet you at the door and let you in. I will be standing over 2m away from you wearing my PPE.

There will be a table with a mask for you. If you have not brought a mask with you I will ask you to put this on now and pull the strings behind your ears.

I will then take your temperature using an infrared thermometer. This will not touch your forehead when your temperature is being taken.

If you have a temperature you will have to go home, wearing the mask, and follow the governments advice.

If your temperature is normal then we can proceed. Please use the hand sanitizer and come up the stairs when invited.

TREATMENT

The treatment will be undertaken with your mask on when it’s upper facial or underarm Botox.

If it’s other regions and your mask needs to be removed this will be done.

The region of treatment will be thoroughly cleansed as before.

POST TREATMENT

This will be the same as before HOWEVER if I’ve treated the nose to mouth lines or the marionette lines I will ask you to gently massage this region at home.

After treatment I will ask you to dispose of your Facemask on leaving the clinic unless of course you would like to keep it on.

FOLLOW UP

For my established patients this will be a text as before.

For new patients this will take the form of a WhatsApp video call as this is safer than face to face contact. If following this, a face to face appointment is required then this will be arranged.

NEW PATIENT CONSULTATIONS

These are still available however they will be undertaken remotely. I will still be able to assess your concerns and advise you of the best treatment options.

If following this assessment you are keen to proceed to treatment, we can arrange this.

Your details will be added to clinical records before the consultation itself and I would undertake the treatment as before.
